eMindful Online Classroom Download & Login Instructions

Instructions for Downloading & Entering the eMindful Virtual Classroom

1. System Requirements

eMindful’s virtual classroom supports the following types of internet connections:

* Broadband cable
* A/S/DSL
* Broadband over powerlines
* T1 (or higher)

You may access the classroom using your web browser on either a PC or a MAC.

eMindful’s virtual classroom supports the following operating systems:

* Windows XP (SP1 & SP2)
* Windows 2000
* Mac OS X 10.4.*

And supports the following web browsers:

* Internet Explorer
* Mozilla Firefox
Note: Apple Safari is not recommended.

If you will be accessing the eMindful virtual classroom from your workplace, please verify that your machine has the appropriate permission and rights to download minimal software otherwise your company’s security system may prevent you from a successful installation.

Other set-ups may work, but are not supported and our support specialists will not be able to solve any problems that may arise.

You also must turn off any popup blockers that may be running to access the classroom.  Omnovia support can help you if needed.

We recommend the use of a headset and microphone combination. It is not required, however, as there is also a chat functionality in our virtual classroom. Please see our Products page if you would like to purchase a headset/mike from us.

2. Logging into the room

Please attempt to log in to the room at least 24 hours before the class.  This is necessary to allow time to assist you should you have difficulties.  Given the number of class participants, we hope you can understand we cannot guarantee timely access to the classroom without 24 hours notice and will not be able to provide class fee refunds with less than 24 hours notice of problems.

Note: For first time attendees using the classroom, there is a brief install prior to logging in. Simply follow the three step directions you’ll see to install the software. Remember, you'll only need to install the software once the first time you connect to the classroom.

Once there, you’ll see the following login screen:

Enter the information requested including the password you were given in the reminder e-mail.  Leave the checkbox next to the word Windows: UNCHECKED.

Next, click on the “Click here to Enter Room” button to enter the room.  If you’re logging in advance of the class to test your ability connect you’ll see this:

Note the message in the orange square at the bottom which says “The session has not yet started.  Please wait. You will be connected as soon as the session begins.”  The little hourglass above the message should also be spinning.  If you see this, you’ve successfully downloaded the software and accessed the classroom.  You should be able to connect promptly at class time.

IMPORTANT:  If you cannot access the room after following the instructions, please contact the omNovia technical support team at 281-500-4065 ext. 1.  If necessary, please leave a message and your call will be returned.

The download process is typically under two minutes and very straightforward.  In some cases, problems are encountered typically as the result of minor misunderstandings of the above instructions or participants’ unfamiliarity with some aspects their computers. We are very happy to work with you and the vast majority of issues can be easily resolved with 24 hours notice. OmNovia support can also be accessed by visiting:

3. Connecting at Class Time and Using the Room
How do I get there if I am accessing the class - At class time?, as soon as you are connected in the room, you will be able to see the live image and hear the presenter.
You can enter your questions in the 'Text Area' and click the 'Send' button to enter messages.  When you would like to turn on your microphone or webcam, please ask the presenter to enable your mike and webcam.

To close the session, click on the Exit the Room button (see picture below) at the top of the room window.
