eMindful Online Classroom Instruction Guide

1. System Requirements

eMindful’s virtual classroom supports the following internet connections:

  • High Speed Internet Access (Cable, DSL, or better is recommended)
    *Note: Dial-up and Satellite connections are not supported. If using wireless connections, you may experience freezing and audio interruptions.
     
  • You may access the classroom using your web browser on either a PC or a MAC.
     
  • Please click here for instructions on setting up your headset and microphone.

The eMindful classroom is not supported on Windows 98, Windows 95, or any Mac OS version prior to 10.4. If you choose to access the eMindful classroom with an unsupported operating system, it may work, but our support team will be unable to solve any issues you may experience.  Please refer to table below:

Note: If you will be accessing the eMindful virtual classroom from your workplace, please verify that your machine has the appropriate permission and rights; otherwise your company’s security system may prevent you from accessing the classroom. Other set-ups may work, but are not supported and our support specialists will not be able to solve any problems that may arise.

We recommend the use of a headset and microphone combination. It is not required, however, as there is also a chat functionality in our virtual classroom.  Computer headsets are common and can be found easily at your favorite computer retail store.

2.  Pretesting your access to the online classroom prior to the start of class
This is only a test!  Please refer to #3 below to access the online classroom.  If you are unable to join or having difficulty running the test, please call 1-866-229-3239 Option 1.  Click here to begin the pretest.

3. Logging into the eMindful online classroom
After successfully pretesting your computer, follow the easy instructions below for accessing the online classroom:

  • Please click on the following link: emindful.webex.com
  • Click on the blue Join link located to the right of the event name (see illustration below)
  • Enter your name, email address, and password (provided to you).
  • Please be patient as the online classroom is connected.
  • A Join Integrated VoIP box will appear. Please choose Yes.
  • You may be prompted to go through a short Audio Wizard.  Please be patient
     and follow the instructions as they appear on your screen.

You will see the following login screen:  (This is an illustration - do not try to login here.)



IMPORTANT:  If you cannot access the room after following the instructions, please contact the eMindful technical support team at 772-569-4540.   For additional assistance, our vendor’s technical support team can also assist you by calling 1-866-229-3239 Option 1.

4.  Connecting at Class Time and Using the Room

As soon as you are connected to the online classroom and as long as a moderator is present, you will be able to see and hear the instructor.  You can enter your questions in the 'Chat Panel' and click the 'Send' button to send messages (see illustration below).  If you would like to turn on your microphone or webcam, please ask the presenter to enable your microphone (mic) and/or webcam.
 


To exit the online classroom, click on the X at the top right corner of the room window as shown below:
