eMindful Online Classroom Download & Login Instructions

Instructions for Downloading & Entering the eMindful Virtual Classroom


1. System Requirements

eMindful’s virtual classroom supports the following internet connections:

  • High Speed Internet Access (Cable, DSL, or Better)
    *Note: Dial-up and Satellite connections are not supported. If using wireless connections, you may experience freezing and audio interruptions. There is a refresh button located in the upper right corner of the classroom screen that will help with these types of experiences.
     
  • You may access the classroom using your web browser on either a PC or a MAC.

And supports the following operating systems:

  • Windows Vista
  • Windows XP (Service Pack 1 and 2)
  • Windows 2003
  • Windows 2000
  • Mac OS X 10

The eMindful classroom is not supported on Windows 98, Windows 95, or any Mac OS version prior to 10.4. If you choose to access the eMindful classroom with an unsupported operating system, it may work, but our support team will be unable to solve any issues you may experience.

And supports the following web browsers:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000, XP (SP1 & SP2), 2003 Server, Vista
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
    • Firefox 1.x or later
    • Netscape 8.x or later
    • AOL 9 (*AOL 9 web browser is not supported in our event registration)
    • Opera 7.11 or later
  • Macintosh
    • Firefox 1.5.0.3 or later
    • *Mozilla 1.x
    • *Netscape 8.x or later
    • *AOL for Mac OS X
    • Opera 6
    • Safari 1.x or later
      * For PowerPC only
  • Linux
    • Firefox 1.5.0.7 or later

If you will be accessing the eMindful virtual classroom from your workplace, please verify that your machine has the appropriate permission and rights; otherwise your company’s security system may prevent you from accessing the classroom. Other set-ups may work, but are not supported and our support specialists will not be able to solve any problems that may arise.

You also must turn off any popup blockers that may be running to access the classroom.

We recommend the use of a headset and microphone combination. It is not required, however, as there is also a chat functionality in our virtual classroom. Please see our Products page if you would like to purchase a headset/mike from us.

3. Logging into the room

Please attempt to log in to the room at least 24 hours before the class.  This is necessary to allow time to assist you should you have difficulties.  Given the number of class participants, we hope you can understand we cannot guarantee timely access to the classroom without 24 hours notice and will not be able to provide class fee refunds with less than 24 hours notice of problems.

Enter your email address and the password you were given at the time of registration.

Next, click on the “Click here to Enter Room” button to enter the room.  If you’re logging in, prior to the start of class, to test your ability to connect: you’ll see this:

Note the message in the orange square:  “This conference room is currently not active.  The session will begin as soon as a moderator enters the room.”  As soon as a moderator enters the room, this message will disappear.
IMPORTANT:  If you cannot access the room after following the instructions, please contact the eMindful technical support team at 216-373-6829.   If necessary, please leave a message and your call will be returned.  We are very happy to work with you and the vast majority of issues can be easily resolved with 24 hours notice.

4.  Connecting at Class Time and Using the Room
As soon as you are connected in the room and as long as a moderator is present, you will be able to see and hear the moderator.  You can enter your questions in the 'Text Area' and click the 'Send' button to send messages.  If you would like to turn on your microphone or webcam, please ask the presenter to enable your microphone (mic) and/or webcam.

To exit the classroom, click on the blue X button at the top right corner of the room window.
