Yoga

Through a series of gentle stretching exercise, and the practice of mindfulness, one can become more attuned to their body and to the present moment.

Yoga has many benefits. Research has shown that yoga helps manage or control anxiety, arthritis, back pain, blood pressure, chronic fatigue, depression, stress and other conditions and diseases.

In addition, yoga:

  • Improves muscle tone, flexibility, strength and stamina
  • Reduces stress and tension
  • Improves concentration
  • Improves circulation
  • Stimulates the immune system
  • Creates sense of well being and calm.

Recent research suggests that yoga, in combination with Mindful Eating, can have a significant benefit in weight loss and weight maintenance efforts (additional information available upon request).
