Create Your Own Support Squad with Libby Gill

Study after study has shown that having strong social ties decreases the risk of disease by lowering blood pressure, heart rate and cholesterol levels, while it boosts the immune system and even lengthens life span. One noted study showed that people who have an extensive network of friends outlived those who did not by 22%.

A recent UCLA study showed that when women who are under stress reach out in friendship to others, they raise their levels of oxcytocin. These heightened oxytocin levels help women lower stress while they fight off disease.

As impressive as this data is, it doesn't address what might be the biggest advantage of having a powerful support system - the positive effect on the quality of our daily lives. But in our culture where stress and busy-ness are seen as badges of honor, most of us are unable to ask for the support we need, especially when we need it most. Having a customized "Support Squad" to provide information and inspiration - as well as advocate for advanced or alternative medical treatments - can be a huge benefit to anyone facing health challenges.

In her late forties, Libby Gill recruited a hand-picked Support Squad to help her reclaim her life. With guidance from her team of mentors, colleagues and friends, Libby dealt with the demons of her past including a family history of alcoholism and mental illness. She transformed her personal and professional life and is now an internationally respected executive coach, columnist for the Dallas Morning News and author of the best-selling Traveling Hopefully.

Libby has guided thousands of people to create support teams to help advocate for their needs. In three one-hour classes, she helps you create your own customized Support Squad. Libby will guide participants to:
