Mindful Path Through Shyness Course Information
What is the Mindful Path Through Shyness Course (MPTS)?
The Mindful Path through Shyness Program (MPTS) is an 8-week program that meets once a week and is led personally by Steve Flowers, MFT, the author of The Mindful Path through Shyness. This intensive program provides instruction and guidance in personal and interpersonal mindfulness practices and cognitive behavioral exercises that may help free you from social anxiety, fear and avoidance.
These classes are conducted in virtual classrooms where participants can see, hear, and interact with teachers and other students in real-time. Entering the virtual classroom is simple – and no software is required! Even novice computer users have easily accessed and enjoyed the eMindful classes.
The program includes:
- A copy of Mindful Path through Shyness (book)
- 8 weeks of class
- A program workbook
- A set of audio and video recordings to assist you in your daily meditation practices
- 2 months of registration in The Mindful Path through Shyness Forum in which you can join with others, individually or in groups, in interpersonal mindfulness practices which are constructed to help you grow in communication skills, emotional self-regulation and in self-expression.
- An all-day mindfulness retreat in which you will participate in 6½ hours of guided formal mindfulness practices with the rest of your class.
Following this 8-week program you will eligible to participate in the Mindful Path Through Shyness forum where you can join with others that are bringing mindfulness and compassion to bear in their work with shyness and social anxiety. In this interactive social program, you will be able to connect with other people that are involved or have been in the Mindful Path Through Shyness program though chat features on a bulletin board and in live, audio and video interactions. The MPTS Forum is available to you at www.mindfullivingprograms.com as a stand-alone resource that you can participate in long after you finish this 8-week program.
