Kelley McCabe
Founder and CEO

Kelley McCabe is the founder and CEO of eMindful. She began her career on Wall Street, where she worked for 20 years as a senior executive for Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers, and Citigroup after receiving her M.B.A. from New York University. Kelley has been practicing mindfulness since 1997.


Doug Welpton, M.D.
Medical Director

Doug earned his M.D. at Harvard Medical School, and was trained in psychiatry at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center and Deaconess Beth Israel. In addition, Dr. Welpton did a 2 year fellowship the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda. He has Boards in Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis. Dr. Welpton has practiced psychiatry for more than 40 years. 


Ruth Quillian Wolever, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Adviser

Ruth is a clinical health psychologist and Director of Research for Duke Integrative Medicine. Dr. Wolever conducts research on the integration of mind, body, and spirit treatments into mainstream medicine. She has specifically explored such applications to improve sleep, eating behaviors, weight management, diabetes control, and cardiovascular risk factors, along with other health conditions. 


William J. Sullivan
CFO

William is eMindful’s Chief Financial Officer and a member of eMindful’s Board of Directors.  He has been in the investment banking and investment industry for over 25 years. Bill most recently served as a Managing Director of Putnam Investments as Head of Fixed Income & Equity Trading, Capital Markets, and Institutional Product Management. Prior to Putnam Investments, Bill spent nine years at Swiss Bank Corporation in London and New York.


Hyman Kahn, M.D.
Board Member

Dr. Kahn served as a senior vice president for nine years with U.S. Healthcare, and for eight of those years as the company's senior medical director. He has held executive positions for over a decade with HMO Pennsylvania, where he served both as medical director and president of the organization's IPA. He also has served as a medical consultant to Aetna U.S. Healthcare, and is on the boards of numerous health care companies. In addition to eMindful's board, Dr. Kahn is a member of the board of directors of the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, the Accountable Care Organization of Pennsylvania, MacroArray and ImmuneControl prior to its merger into Corridor Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Kahn graduated from Thomas Jefferson University Medical College. He is boarded by the American Board of Internal Medicine.


Elizabeth Mariner
Board Member

Elizabeth Mariner is an Executive Vice President of the reinsurance intermediary, Re-Solutions. Mrs. Mariner started her career in 1982 at General Reassurance. Subsequently, she joined Medical Risk Intermediaries as Sr. Vice President responsible for reinsurance marketing and underwriting for ERISA self-funded medical plans. In 1992 she joined Towers Perrin where she became a Principal responsible for business development in the Risk & Financial Services' Life, Accident and Health Reinsurance Practice. Mrs. Mariner is an active member of SIIA, holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Med from Boston College, and professional designations as a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Health Insurance Associate of America (HIA), a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI).


Jorge Rico
Board Member

Mr. Rico is a Co-Founding Partner of MBF Healthcare Partners, L.P. and has served as Managing Director of the firm since inception. Prior to joining MBF, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Ramsay Health Care, Inc. (NASDAQ: RHCI) a publicly-held psychiatric hospital company. Prior to joining RHCI, Mr. Rico was Executive Vice President of Administration and a key member of the management team of Ramsay-HMO, Inc. (NYSE: RMO), the second-largest publicly-held HMO in Florida during the early 1990's. In addition to eMindful's board, Mr. Rico is a member of the board of directors of Navarro Discount Pharmacies, Nutri-Force Nutrition, Omni Home Care (Chairman) and Simply Healthcare Holdings and previously served on the board of Medical Specialties Distributors (Chairman). He is also a member of the St. Thomas University's President's Advisory Board. Mr. Rico holds a Masters in Business Administration specializing in Healthcare Administration from the University of Miami.


Larry Rosenberg, Ph.D.
Board Advisor

Larry is the author of Breath by Breath: The Liberating Practice of Insight Meditation and Living in the Light of Death: On the Art of Being Fully Alive. He is a senior teacher at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts, and the founder and resident teacher at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center. Larry received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Chicago and subsequently accepted a position in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Larry has practiced Zen meditation in Korea and Japan.
